Which Mechanical Seal is for me?
N11 / N22 / N33 Line
Our N11, N22, and N33 designs feature a crimped head (part numbers ending in “C” — for example, 185C), offering several installation and performance benefits:
- Narrow outer diameter designed to fit straight box or ANSI bores
- Universal compatibility — with a simple spring change, these seals fit most applications
- Face securely held in the retainer, preventing it from coming loose and making them ideal for challenging installations
- Ease of installation, saving time and reducing errors in the field

SPS Line
Our SPS seal line may look similar in design to other seals you’ve seen, but it stands apart in superior quality and durability. Part numbers for this line start with SPS (for example, SPS-185). Key advantages include:
- Heavier bellows for improved strength and reliability
- Double resin-impregnated carbons, making them harder and longer-lasting than standard options
- Pure carbides and ceramics for maximum performance
- Brushed and machined finish on seal heads for a premium, consistent look
- Perfect mirror-finish lapped faces to ensure optimal sealing
- Labeled seats with sizes for easy identification and installation
These seals are built to the highest standards, and we encourage you to compare them side-by-side with other brands.

Which seal should I pick?
- Choose our SPS seals if you want a premium, like-for-like replacement with upgraded materials, finishes, and longevity.
- Choose our N-Line seals if you want maximum compatibility and easy installation , especially in tight/ANSI bores or when you may need to swap springs for different applications.
