DESCRIPTION
A 6 inch full face gasket in 1/8 in. red rubber, cut to ASME B16.21 for 150 lb flanges. Pipe size is a name, not a measurement — 6 in. pipe is 6-5/8 in. across the outside, which is why the bore reads 6-5/8 in. and the outer edge 11 in.
Measure across your flange face — if it reads 11 in., this is your gasket.
- Fits pipe size — 6 in. nominal
- Outside diameter — 11 in. (matches the flange face)
- Bolt holes — 8, at 7/8 in.
- Bolt circle — 9-1/2 in.
- Bore — 6-5/8 in.
- Thickness — 1/8 in.
- Material — red rubber (SBR), 70 Shore A, -20°F to 180°F
- Flange class — 150 lb steel or 125 lb cast iron
Fits 150 lb steel and 125 lb cast iron flanges — Class 125 and Class 150 share the same bolt pattern, so one gasket covers both. A Class 300 flange is wider on a different bolt circle and takes a different gasket. Red rubber (SBR) suits water, brine, air and low-pressure service; for oil, fuel, solvents or acids ask for Buna, Viton, EPDM or non-asbestos.
Where a 6 in. goes. Irrigation and fire mainlines, municipal and HVAC chilled-water lines, and the suction side of larger pumps — a pump with a 4 in. discharge usually takes a 6 in. suction, so the two sizes often go in together. Same 7/8 in. bolts as the 5 in., on a bolt circle an inch larger.
Flanging up a whole pump? The suction flange is normally a size or two bigger than the discharge, so a 6in rarely goes in on its own.
- 4in Full Face Flange Gasket — 9in OD, 8 bolt holes at 3/4in
- 5in Full Face Flange Gasket — 10in OD, 8 bolt holes at 7/8in
