Construction

Single-spring design running a molded carbon rotary face against a ceramic cup seat, with Buna-N elastomers throughout. Working length 0.615″ — check this against your old seal if you are matching from a worn part, as it is what separates the 5/8″ families from one another.

Is the 2161 Your Seal?

Pool and spa seals are rarely marked, so most people match by measuring. Check three things against your old seal:

• Shaft diameter — 5/8″. Measure the motor shaft, not the seal bore.

• Ceramic seat outside diameter — 1.375″. This is the flat ceramic ring that presses into the pump housing

• Working length — 0.615″, the height of the seal assembly as it sits compressed.
