  • DESCRIPTION

    The Taco 951-3038BRP shaft sleeve is a precision-machined bronze sleeve for Taco pumps on the 1-7/8 in. seal — the sleeve used in Taco seal kits 950-1369BRP and 951-2968BRP. It slides over the pump shaft so the mechanical seal runs on the sleeve instead of the shaft, protecting the shaft from wear in hydronic heating and cooling service. It measures 1.750 in. ID x 1.875 in. OD x 2.710 in. long. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

    Why replace the sleeve with the seal

    The seal runs directly on the sleeve. Once the sleeve is scored or pitted, even a new seal can leak. Taco includes a new sleeve in its own 1-7/8 in. seal kits for that reason, so fit a fresh 951-3038BRP every time you change the seal.
