    Sta-Rite C20-46N — Pre-Cut Red Rubber Gasket (C2046N)

    A precision-cut replacement housing gasket for Sta-Rite pump assemblies, supplied in red rubber. Drops into the same housing as the C20-46 vellumoid gasket — 7.937″ inside diameter, 9.625″ outside — and is commonly searched as C2046N.

    Red rubber or vellumoid?

    Both seal the same joint and share the same ID and OD. The difference is how they get there.

    • Red rubber (C20-46N) — resilient rather than crush-set. It conforms to flange faces that are pitted, scored or no longer true, and it survives being taken apart, so it usually comes out intact if you open the housing again. The choice for a pump that has been apart a few times

    • Vellumoid (C-20-46) — the original-style 3/64″ brown fibre gasket. Crushes to the faces on assembly and seals hard. Fit once and replace at the next teardown.
