Berkeley / Sta-Rite S05126— Pre-Cut Gasket
The S05126 is a direct-fit volute gasket for Berkeley B-Series centrifugal pumps, cut from vegetable fibre to original specifications. The same part carries house numbers across the Pentair family — Berkeley S05126, Sta-Rite S05126, and Vak-Pak 9118.
Volute gaskets seal the joint between the pump case and the volute, and they are a one-use part. Reusing a compressed gasket after a rebuild is a slow leak waiting to happen, because the fibre has already taken its set and will not seal evenly a second time.

Applications
Fits Berkeley B-Series centrifugal pumps using the 9-1/8″ volute gasket, across the ZR and ZP model families. Also used in Sta-Rite and Vak-Pak pump assemblies under their own numbers. One teardown. Two wear parts.
The Berkeley S05126 volute gasket is the case gasket in the ZP-series Type B rebuild. Any time you’re in far enough to pull this gasket, the mechanical seal is already exposed — and a seal that has run against a worn sleeve will not re-seat. Doing the gasket alone means coming back for a second teardown.
Complete the rebuild:
• PS-185 Mechanical Seal — 1-1/4″ shaft, 1.875″ × 0.437″ seat, Type N-11 (Type C/21). Nitrile, Viton, and SiC/SiC options.• Berkeley Stainless Shaft Sleeve — the third wear item in this joint. Replace it with the seal, or the new faces wear early.Doing the full ZP-series job? Check your motor frame. This gasket is the same across the ZP range — the seal and sleeve are not. Frames 143JM to 215JM take the 1-1/4″ PS-185 and the S19310 sleeve. Frames 254JM and larger take the 1-3/4″ PS-446 and the S18869L sleeve. The model number alone won’t tell you which you have.
