    Paco Shaft Sleeve — Bronze

    The Paco shaft sleeve is a precision-machined bronze sleeve for Paco centrifugal pumps on the 1-1/4 in. seal. It slides over the pump shaft and takes the wear that would otherwise land on the shaft itself, so a rebuild means replacing an inexpensive sleeve instead of the shaft. It measures 1.00 in. ID x 1.25 in. OD x 2.38 in. long. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

    Why replace the sleeve with the seal

    A mechanical seal runs directly on the shaft sleeve. Once the sleeve is scored, pitted or corroded, even a brand-new seal can leak. Fitting a fresh sleeve at every seal change gives the seal a smooth, true surface to run on and helps it last.

    The Peerless shaft sleeve is a precision-machined bronze sleeve for Peerless C825A end suction pumps on 143–215JM motor frames (1 to 7.5 HP). It slides over the pump shaft so the mechanical seal runs on the sleeve instead of the shaft, and a drive notch on one end locks it in place during assembly. It measures 1.000 in. ID x 1.250 in. OD x 2.500 in. long. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

    The Sta-Rite C23-58 shaft sleeve (2358) is a precision-machined stainless steel slip-fit sleeve for Sta-Rite pumps on the 1-1/4 in. seal, built on 184JM and 215JM motor frames. It slides over the motor shaft so the mechanical seal runs on the sleeve instead of the shaft. A chamfered lead-in makes it easy to start, a keyway in the bore at the other end drives it with the shaft, and the O-ring that seals it to the shaft is included. It measures 1.000 in. ID x 1.250 in. OD x 2.285 in. long. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

It slides over the pump shaft so the mechanical seal runs on the sleeve instead of the shaft, protecting the shaft from wear in hydronic heating and cooling service. It measures 1.750 in. ID x 1.875 in. OD x 2.710 in. long. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.
