Tsurumi EPT3-50YD Mechanical Seal — 1-1/2 in. Double Seal (Yanmar Diesel Build)

This is the replacement mechanical seal for the Tsurumi EPT3-50YD engine-driven trash pump — the Yanmar diesel build. It is a 1-1/2 in. double seal with silicon carbide running faces on both sides, the hardest face material we offer, specified here for long service life in rental and contractor duty. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

Read this before you order: Tsurumi offers the EPT3 pump with more than one engine option, and the seal is not the same on every build. This seal is for the Yanmar diesel version. Check the engine plate on your pump before ordering, or send us a photo and we will confirm it.

Why this seal is built with silicon carbide

Trash pumps run in water carrying sand, grit and solids, and that is what wears a seal face. Silicon carbide is the hardest face material Seal House stocks, and running it against itself on both sides of a double seal is the longest-lasting build available at this size. On a rental pump, where the machine goes out again as soon as it comes back, that is the difference between one service a season and three.
