Smith & Loveless 1-7/8″ Mechanical Seal — CRO & N-11 (Single or Double)
The Smith & Loveless 1-7/8″ mechanical seal is a direct-fit replacement seal for Smith & Loveless pumps running a 1-7/8″ shaft — choose your seal style and configuration from the dropdown and you’ll get the right seal for your pump. Each is built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher for the same fit and reliability as the original.
We offer this seal in two styles, each available single or double:

CRO style — the OEM-style original Durametallic CRO design.

N-11 style — a component seal design (Type 21 / Type C head) with a Carbon/SiC face and L-shaped O-ring seat.

The Smith & Loveless 2-1/8″ mechanical seal is a direct-fit replacement seal for Smith & Loveless pumps running a 2-1/8″ shaft — choose single or double from the dropdown and you’ll get the right seal for your pump. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher for the same fit and reliability as the original.
This size is offered in our N-11 component style — a crimped-head Type 21 / Type C design with a Carbon/SiC face and cup seat. It is the equivalent of U.S. Seal #3316 (VG-3316, also referenced as 4C2D and H87A97) for the single, and VG-1107 for the double. Note: this is not an OEM-style CRO seal; it’s our N-11 component replacement.

Single vs Double — Which Do I Need?
The difference is how many sealing points the pump uses. A single seal has one set of sealing faces — the standard setup on many Smith & Loveless pumps. A double seal has two sets of faces for a second barrier in tougher or continuous-duty service. This size is offered in our CRO style — the OEM-style equivalent to Durametallic CRO design. The single replaces H87A534; the double replaces H60A121 (VG-7532).
