DESCRIPTION
Flygt 3127 Pump Repair Kit — Mechanical Seals & O-Ring Set, Standard or Griploc
Direct-fit aftermarket repair kit for the Flygt 3127 submersible wastewater pump. It replaces the primary sealing components serviced during routine maintenance and rebuilds, restoring leak-free operation and cutting downtime. Available with traditional component seals or with Griploc pre-set seals.
Choose Your Kit:
-
Standard kit — traditional separate-component seals
-
Standard kit with Griploc — Griploc pre-set seals, an optional upgrade
On the Griploc option: to keep pricing reasonable while maintaining reliable performance, we supply this kit with a stainless-steel seat carrying a tungsten carbide insert. This seat style was also used on previous-generation Griploc seals and gives a durable sealing surface without the cost of a solid tungsten carbide seat.
What’s included
-
Upper mechanical seal: TC/TC/VIT — Tungsten Carbide / Tungsten Carbide / Viton
-
Lower mechanical seal: TC/TC/VIT — Tungsten Carbide / Tungsten Carbide / Viton
-
Complete O-ring set: Buna-N (Nitrile / NBR)
Applications
-
Flygt 3127 — 3127.060, 3127.070, 3127.090, 3127.091, 3127.095, 3127.160, 3127.161, 3127.180, 3127.181, 3127.182, 3127.185, 3127.190, 3127.191, 3127.350, 3127.390, 3127.760, 3127.761, 3127.770
Important — two O-ring sets exist for this pump
Flygt supplies 80 32 33 for standard 3127 versions and 80 32 74 for the D, F and SHT versions. They are not interchangeable. If your pump is a D, F or SHT build, tell us at checkout under “Pump Model Notes” or call before you order, and we’ll supply the correct set. If you’re not sure which you have, send a photo of the nameplate to info@sealhouseusa.com or call or text 561-414-1046 — no purchase required, our seal specialists will match it.
Nameplate prefixes you may see: NP (wet well on guide bars), NS (free-standing transportable), NT (vertical dry-installed) and NZ (horizontal dry-installed), followed by a head class — LT (low head), MT (medium head), HT (high head) or SH (super high head) — and an impeller curve code such as 245–249, 425 or 488–489. Older units may read CP 3127 or CS 3127.
Griploc — what it is
Griploc (also searched as GripLoc) is Flygt/Xylem’s pre-set mechanical face seal for submersible pumps. The seal faces hold flatness for excellent leakage control, and a patented Griploc™ locking system secures the seal to the shaft without set screws, removing the risk of shaft damage. Installation uses one procedure across sizes with no special service tools — a standard screwdriver and the mounting tool included with each seal. Current Griploc seals use an all-metal design with a torque-setting screw on the cartridge, for setting the seal rather than gripping the shaft; earlier versions used a plastic shell with a large snap ring.
Traditional or Griploc?
Traditional separate-component seals — familiar, proven format at a lower component cost. The right choice when you have the tools and experience and want the lowest initial price. Best for routine rebuilds with experienced technicians in standard wastewater duty.
Griploc seals — pre-set working length, so no shimming or measuring, which makes installs faster and more consistent. No special tools needed. Excellent leakage control and robust against heat, wear and clogging. Best for minimising downtime, mixed-skill crews, abrasive or variable conditions, or whenever you want the most repeatable outcome.
Quick pick: prioritize installation speed and consistency, choose Griploc. Prioritize lowest upfront cost and you’re comfortable setting working length, choose Traditional.
