Vaughan Chopper Pump Repair Kit — Seal Repair Kit & Complete Kits

The Vaughan chopper pump repair kit is sold two ways, depending on how far into the pump you are going. Buy the chopper seal repair kit on its own to renew the faces and elastomers in the chopper seal, or buy a complete kit to replace both seals outright and take the chopper seal repair kit with it. Built to OEM-equivalent standards or higher.

Two ways to buy:

• Lower chopper seal repait kit — two silicon carbide faces, O-rings and gasket. Renews the faces and elastomers in the chopper seal, for when the seal hardware and the upper seal are still good.

• Complete kit — 210TY, 250TY or 320TY — a carbon/ceramic upper seal and a silicon carbide lower seal, both complete, plus the pump O-ring kit and the chopper seal repair kit. For a full seal rebuild. Choose the designation that matches your seal.

That work is continuous and abrasive, and the seals are the parts that reach the end of their life first. Silicon carbide faces on the lower seal suit the duty; the upper seal runs carbon against ceramic in clean oil.

Choosing your size:

The complete kits are sold by seal designation — 210TY, 250TY and 320TY, commonly sold as X210TY, X250TY and X320TY. All are single-spring seals. These are seal designations rather than pump model numbers, so the number on your pump nameplate will not match them directly.
