    Goulds/G&L SV-series pumps take either a 12mm or a 16mm seal depending on the series, and the catalog number alone won’t tell you — it can start with “3SV” either way. The series name at the top of the nameplate is the tiebreaker. If it reads SV, your pump takes this 12mm seal; if it reads SSV, it takes the larger 16mm seal. Use the guide below to check.

    SV-series pumps take either a 12mm or a 16mm seal. The catalog number can start with “3SV” on both — so the series name at the top of the nameplate is what tells you the size.
