    Taco 951-3161 / 951-3161BRP Pump Seal Kit — Type E Mechanical Seal Set

    The Taco 951-3161BRP seal kit is a direct-fit replacement (Type E) for select Taco centrifugal pumps. This complete pump seal kit is built for HVAC/hydronic circulation service and helps simplify installation during service or rebuilds by replacing common wear components and restoring a reliable seal to help prevent leaks.

    Three kits available

    Same kit, same fit — the difference is the seal material inside. Choose your build from the dropdown above.

    • Standard – Carbon/Ceramic/Nitrile — ordinary hot water and chilled water systems

    • Upgrade – Carbon/Ceramic/Viton — hotter systems, glycol and chemicals

    • Upgrade – Silicon Carbide/Viton — gritty water and hard-wearing duty

    Which kit do I need?

    Most HVAC and hydronic circulation systems take the Standard Kit. Step up to an Upgrade Kit if your system runs hotter, carries glycol or chemicals, or handles gritty water.

    Kit Max Temp Choose This If
    Standard – Carbon/Ceramic/Nitrile 200°F Clean water at neutral pH — ordinary HVAC and hydronic circulation. This is the standard build.
    Upgrade – Carbon/Ceramic/Viton 450°F Your system runs hot, or carries glycol, bleach or other chemicals that break down standard Nitrile.
    Upgrade – Silicon Carbide/Viton 450°F Gritty or dirty water, wastewater and slurry, or any duty where seals keep wearing out early. Hardest faces we offer.
